Management Team
Shows International's executive management has over 50 years combined experience working on trade shows in a variety of markets. Below are the bios for our senior management.
Neil Ticktin, CEO: Mr. Ticktin has over 20 years experience in sales & marketing, technology, trade and consumer shows, software and process development. Having founded Xplain Corporation in 1992, he then acquired a failing technical magazine and turned it around, creating a super-efficient, turnkey, custom services division, related to publishing and trade shows, and helped to create a targeted mail order business. With clients ranging from Apple Computer to Ford Motor Company to IDG, he has built a service model where the customer's needs are handled with the utmost respect, and a minimum of customer effort. As Xplain's CEO, and in prior positions, Ticktin has successfully raised capital, built and sold businesses with a track record of maximizing shareholder return. A published author of technical articles, and a periodic guest lecturer on New Ventures and Turnarounds at UCLA's Anderson School of Business, Mr. Ticktin holds a Bachelors degree in Linguistics/Computer Science from UCLA, and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California. On a personal level, Mr. Ticktin is an avid photographer, an Eagle Scout, and the Federation Chief of the local YMCA Indian Guide/Princess organization (for fathers and sons/daughters, the program has approximately 500 families in it).
Andrea Sniderman, President: Ms. Sniderman brings 14 years of experience in management, accounting, financial support and business development to the Company. She became President of Xplain Corporation in early 1995. Soon after joining the company, she helped develop a targeted-market mail order hardware/software business, which grew to close to $2 million in revenue before being sold. Ms. Sniderman has managed trade show sales and operations for more than a decade. As part of Shows International, she has developed and managed an internal registration processes for events. With a background in public accounting, Ms. Sniderman graduated in 1990 from the University of California at Santa Barbara, with a Bachelors degree in business economics with an emphasis in accounting.
